If you’d like a fun kitchen prop, or want to occasionally eat like Fred Flintstone — Carne Vale is here to help. Inspired by Manga comics and designed by Nami Mizuguchi, the ceramic bone is oven-safe and durable enough to cook a slab of meat on. Or, vegetarians can bake some bread around it and play pretend.
The United States of Cooking Pans
Made in America is a series of iron skillets shaped like each of the lower 48 states. Brought to us by FeLion Studios, each state can be ordered separately, or all 48 as a whole — just in case you’d like an awesome art piece, or a different state-shaped omelette every day. Although, I’m not sure an egg would fit in Rhode Island.

The Fold Flat Grill
Take the barbecue anywhere with The Fold Flat Grill. Made from durable 304 stainless steel, the grill provides a 17 1/2″ x 13″ W cooking area for the wandering griller. And at less than 1″ thick when folded, it can hang out with the folding chairs until it’s time to tailgate. Just don’t confuse the two — especially while still hot.

The Prison Cookbook
From The Big House To Your House is a new cookbook with about two hundred recipes for you and your family. Oh… did I say family? I meant fellow inmates.
The cookbook is brought to us by female prisoners at the Mountain View Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Equipped with just a hot pot and limited food items from the commissary, the women recipe-tested items such as Frito pie, peach habanero salsa, and a faux baked potato made from re-hydrated potato chips.
Although some of the recipe’s actual edibility comes into question, they are certainly creative, and could come in handy if you find yourself in a bind — or if you’re going off to college.
