All Fifty U.S. States Recreated As Ceramic Plates

fifty-united-plates

A few years ago, we were introduced to The Fifty United Plates, a series of handmade ceramic plates representing all 50 States.

Although, at the time, it was merely a Kickstarter campaign, we can now have our beloved States in plate-form. Check out the entire collection for sale here.

I also hear that there’s a collection of State-shaped food that would fit perfectly in each one.

His project, The North American Adventurer’s Guide To Burritos, not only documents Cushing’s US-wide burrito consumption, but comes complete with an original illustration and a thorough grading system for each.

Keep up with Random’s travels and burrito-eating here.

A Map of The Best Sandwich From Every State

America loves their sandwiches. And, as we’ve recently discovered, they’re actually a marvel of engineering. But which sandwich is each US State’s favorite? Business Insider did their homework, and has laid out each State’s sandwich preference in easy-to-read map form.

Did they get yours right? They actually nailed NJ, although anyone living south of the Exit 11 would argue that it’s called “Pork Roll.”

The Fifty United Plates, Porcelain Trays In The Shape of Every US State

thumbnail

We’ve seen skillets and cutting boards in the shape of every US State. Now, you can show your patriotism at the table with The Fifty United Plates. Brought to us by ceramic artists Ryan and Kaitlyn Lawless of Corbé company, the project is currently in a Kickstarter phase that has already reached their target.

So expect to see the state plates available soon. You can start making Oregon-shaped pies and California casseroles. Get Rhode Island if you need to hold a few grains of rice or a small blueberry.
