best-of-2015

Another 365 days in the books, means another year of the greatest food culture ever.* This year was an exceptional one for creative food art, news, and other random nonsense.

Thanks, everyone, for making 2015 Foodiggity’s best year ever. We’ll now be able to keep the lights on and do this for another 365.

So, the least we could do is present our 15 most popular posts from the past year. Thanks and see you in ’16.

Pizza Hut Now Has A Line of Clothing Made Especially For Bros and The Girlfriends of Bros

December 30, 2015 by Chris Durso

Pizza Hut, best known for their pizza-esque food offerings and other crust-stuffing crimes, is now in the clothing business.

Hut Swag [shudder] is a questionable line of hats, shirts, socks and other cheesy merchandise — made especially to be worn by bros and the girlfriends of bros.

There’s even Pizza Vision Sunglasses, which will not only help declare your Hut-love, but will instantly make you a lot more punchable. Check out all of the swag here, brah!

Watch This Cake Change Color While It Makes Your Brain Hurt

December 30, 2015 by Chris Durso

What could better than cake? Perhaps a cake that messes with our feeble minds by changing color before our very eyes.

The illusion is made possible by an icing and airbrushing technique… not the work of fairies and unicorns as we were hoping. Check it out… let us know if your mind asplodes.

There’s nothing quite like when your food stares back at you. Artists Emily Dryden and Zahydé Pietri have created a fun series of portraits made from various forms of produce.

Using anything from watermelon, blueberries, mushrooms and strawberries — the portraits appear to draw inspiration from the works of Giuseppe Arcimboldo. And, yes… they are judging your current food choices.

Leopard Bread Shows Its Spots

December 29, 2015 by Chris Durso

Looking to add some visual interest and a possible camouflage to your baked goods? Leopard Milk Bread, brought to us by Patricia Nascimento of Coco e Baunilha, is here to help.

The bread is created using several doughs, flavored and colored with vanilla and cocoa. So, the bread will probably be as delicious as it is aesthetically-pleasing and inconspicuous. Recipe here.
