Zombie Bento and Other Lunches To Help Scare The Kids

img_5888

Bentos were getting just a bit too cute. So, Hotaru Yamakawa from Pouch, inspired by some horror-themed bento, created some of her own.

First up are zombies, which are always a hit. Just use beige fried rice as the flesh, beady off-set eyes, and lots of ketchup — undead lunch is served.

Frankenstein and ghost bentos can be seen below. Again, the rice color makes all the difference, and again, don’t skimp on the ketchup. Enjoy lunch, and have fun trying to get to sleep tonight.

Don’t have time to do your chopping and dicing at home? No worries… On the days that you need to brown bag-it, there’s the Sandwich on Board Box.

The aluminum lunch box comes equipped with a bamboo cutting board — which also acts as the box’s lid until you’re ready to chop up lunch, or if you just need to trim the crusts off your PB&J.

Fed Up: A Site Where Teenagers Can Document and Make Fun Of Their School Lunch

Picture 8

There has always been horrible school lunches. However, there’s now social media to help document these lunches, and teenagers appear sassier these days than we remember.

Fed Up, part of DoSomething.org, is an initiative that encourages teenagers to document and subsequently web-shame their school lunch. And, as expected, when you give hungry and hormonal teenagers the proper medium, it can be comedic gold. I especially like, “Interesting Pile.”

No longer will the kids snicker at your knife skills when you throw these perfect slices in their mac and cheese. The Dog Dicer will also do food items such as celery, grapes, and other elongated fruits… But we honestly don’t see the point. We’re all about the dogs.
