Not long ago, we were treated to an official Volkswagen Minibus Toaster that was pretty awesome. So, a shameless knock-off was inevitable.
Although not officially licensed by VW, the Camper Van Toaster is here to help keep the spirit of the ’60s alive, while toasting your bread. Enjoy breakfast, hippie.
For the toasted bread-loving hippie, there’s the Volkswagen Minibus Toaster. Unfortunately, a mere 5,000 of these were available only in Japan for VW minibus owners. Sorry to make it worse for those who really want one, but they also imprint a VW logo on your toast.
Good news… There is one available on eBay. The somewhat worse news… The asking price is $488.88. Sorry, hippie.
Artist and friend of Foodiggity Eric Barclay’s toaster broke. So he went ahead and did what he does best, and repurposed an everyday item in the name of art.
Burnt Texas Toast began as the aforementioned toaster that no longer works and, inspired by Milton the Talking Toaster, was upcycled into awesomeness.
