The Taco Donut Is Everything We’ve Ever Wanted In A Food Item

March 9, 2015 by Chris Durso

Imagine a world where donuts and tacos could join forces, forming one glorious super food. Well that time is now, and the Taco Donut is our new hero.

The Taco Donut has been brought to us by a few enthusiastic redditors, and is made possible with the use of 3D-printing. A donut cutter was made that not only creates a circle with a donut hole, but also forms a pocket in the dough to place taco filling.

Once the two halves of the donut come together, the Taco Donut is fried and topped with queso frosting, guacamole, cilantro and hot sauce. It’s the franken-food you deserve.

If you need guacamole, and you need it right damn now, you might consider growing an avocado tree in the convenience of your home.

The AvoSeedo holds the answer to your real world problem. Simply save that enormous pit that you take from your avocado, place it in the AvoSeedo, and let it float over water. Soon, all of your avocado-related dreams will come true.

The AvoSeedo is currently in Kickstarter phase, but has already surpassed its goal. We’ll be growing guacamole-making trees in no time.

GIVEAWAY: Ultimate Nachos Cookbook by Nachos NY

April 26, 2013 by Chris Durso

Ultimate_Nachos_cvrFINAL_12.3.2012_1024x1024

Nachos… The ultimate bar snack, hangover stopper, and a great excuse to melt some cheese. Our friends Lee Frank and Rachel Anderson over at Nachos NY have dedicated quite a bit of their lives to the gooey snack, and have recently converted their passion into book form.

Ultimate Nachos is chock-full of over 80 recipes for nachos, guacamoles, salsas, quesos, drinks and more — while filling the void on bookshelves that sorely lack some nacho porn.

The best news… Nachos NY and Foodiggity have teamed up to give away two copies of Ultimate Nachos. The rules are simple… Head over to our post on Foodiggity’s Facebook page and let us know how you like your nachos and what guacamole means to you. Bonus points if you’re actually eating nachos and post a pic. Two winners will be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges that specialize in scrutinizing internet comments.*

So, head over to Facebook and tell us how you do nachos… There are no wrong answers. Unless you tell us that you don’t like nachos — in which case you’re dead wrong and we feel sorry for you.

Fresh Guacamole, A Brilliant Short Film by PES

March 8, 2012 by Chris Durso

Filmmaker PES is back, and just made the process of tableside guacamole that much more awesome. I’m not really sure how to explain what’s going on in his short film, Fresh Guacamole, but it’s certified-awesome.

Although, I like mine with a little more baseball.
