Encourage Kids To Play With, Possibly Eat Their Vegetables With ‘Open Toys’

If you’re having trouble getting the kids to eat any fruits or vegetables, Open Toys might be able to help.

The 3D-printable accessories will transform that produce into airplanes, submarines, and hovercrafts. Perhaps after playing with an apple and carrot long enough, they’ll work up an appetite, and eat their vehicle.

This Apple Store Is Filled With Actual Apples

If you’re in London, and can look away from your iPhone for a bit, there’s currently an apple store with actual apples on display.

The Real Apple Store, inspired by that fake one with all the phones and phablets in it, was created to help celebrate the 1000th anniversary of London’s historic Borough Market and Apple Day.

Visitors can expect to see 1,000 varieties of apples, plenty of which most have never heard of. Siri… What’s a Knobby Russet?

The Size of The Planets Explained With Fruit

Space Stats is a handy infographic that represents each planet as a fruit. The result, Earth is a cherry tomato — while the biggest planet, Jupiter, is a cumbersome watermelon. Pluto, of course, was recently downgraded to a pit.

Pineapple Haircuts Are A Thing

Have you ever wished that you could sit down in the barber’s chair and simply say, “Just give me the pineapple”? Well, that time is now, my friend — as it appears that the Pineapple Haircut is a thing.

With the evidence that we currently have in place, there are at least two humans walking around with the pineapple-do. And, as far as we know, the pineapple heads are not from Hawaii, nor do they work for Dole… making this trend even stranger. Please enjoy.

Vegetable Ice Cream Exists

Häagen-Dazs, known for their frozen treats of creamy goodness, will now be offering a series of healthier vegetable-based ice cream for some reason.

Spoon Vege is a series of ice creams that Häagen-Dazs will release in Japan, starting May 12. Marketed as vegetable-based and healthy, Spoon Vege will include flavors such as Tomato Cherry and Carrot Orange.

Not to split hairs, but a tomato is actually a fruit. Which leaves “Tomato Cherry” veggie-less. Nonetheless, it’s still healthier than the HD peanut butter swirl you’re usually shoveling in.
