Jim Beam Released A New Apple Watch Too

September 8, 2016 by Chris Durso

If you’re a bit disappointed about the death of the headphone jack and water-resistant smartwatches — there’s a recent gadget release that may help ease the blow.

The Jim Beam Apple Watch is here. The watch comes with a stylish green band, and a matching green dial that “serves no purpose.” However, what will get tech-geeks talking, is the collapsible shot glass contained within. Sure, the Jim Beam Apple Watch doesn’t tell time, won’t send you Facebook notifications, or tell you how many steps you’ve taken today — but, like, there’s shots.

The Jim Beam Apple Watch appears to be a real thing that’s available for pre-order at Jim Beam’s site for $17.99.

Press Button, Get Pizza With The Domino’s ‘Easy Order’ Button

November 24, 2015 by Chris Durso

Domino's+2

At the rate we’re going with pizza delivery technology, we’ll soon be able to order a pizza, just by thinking about one. However, for now, we’ll still have to lift our finger and press a button.

The Domino’s Easy Order Button is the latest entry in their user-friendly, no-human-interaction way of ordering their pizzas. The user need only to register their delivery info on Domino’s website, to be drunk with pizza-ordering power.

Currently available only in the UK — most of us will still have to order via Twitter, text, or will actually have to talk to a human. Or, we can try this mind-reading thing… Domino’s, pizza, now.

How To Cook Bacon With A Laser

November 23, 2015 by Chris Durso

Lasers… They’re not just for your fancy science fiction movies anymore. The future is now, people, and that future is cooking bacon with a laser.

Science professor, Kentaro Fukuchi, is here to show us how. The video by Munchies takes us into a laser lab, while Fukuchi programs a laser printer to cook the bacon’s fatty parts.

The result… A product that “smells like the dentist.” And, there’s no eggs to be found anywhere. Don’t throw out your cast iron pan just yet.

Edible Water Balls Are The Future

September 23, 2015 by Chris Durso

It’s often said that we should drink eight glasses of water a day. Now, we have to figure out how many balls it’s gonna take to stay hydrated.

Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez, Guillaume Couche, and Pierre Paslier of Skipping Rocks Lab have created Ooho — an edible water sphere that’ll help you get your H20 whenever, wherever.

The water balls are made possible with help of a molecular gastronomy technique called spherification — which encapsulates water within an edible gelatinous membrane. The project was created to help replace the single-use plastic water bottles that are overtaking the planet.

The best part, is that they’re looking for beta testers of the product. So, go get some balls.

The Future of 3D Easy Cheese Printing Is Now

March 31, 2015 by Chris Durso

Drawing with Easy Cheese ain’t easy… I know, I’ve tried. Luckily, there are visionaries such as artist and spray cheese-enthusiast Andrew Maxwell-Parish to make 3D Easy Cheese printing a reality… Sorta.

Maxwell-Parish created a device that guides and releases the cheese-like product in various patterns. Or, at least the device tries to draw with cheese, with mixed and hilarious results. It looks like we’ll be freehanding Easy Cheese for a little longer.

Please watch this…
