The Monte Cristo Burger Exists

You know that item on the diner menu that you never order because it’s battered, deep-fried and causes chest pains? Well, someone thought it would be a great idea to turn the Monte Cristo into a burger.

The Monte Cristo Burger, brought to us by Umami Burger and Michael Voltaggio, borrows the concept of the deadly ham and cheese sandwich. It’s a beef patty with Gruyere fondue and prosciutto, sandwiched between two vanilla custard-soaked buns that are deep fried and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

The burger, that’ll surely kill you, will be available at all Umami Burger locations starting January 28. Enjoy at your own risk.

The Turducken Burger

When gazing upon The Turducken Burger, the first question would be… Why? And, once we get to the bottom of that, we ask… Why weren’t we aware of this before Thanksgiving?

But hey, what’s done is done. And, if the food inside another food trend is to continue — then it might as well all come together inside a burger. Actually, the Turducken Burger is a creative reinterpretation of the traditional turducken, by chef Brad Lyons of Slater 50/50. It’s a half chicken, half turkey patty with a duck egg on top. So all of the gazintas are accounted for.

The burger is then topped with bacon gravy, cranberries and sweet potato fries… Just to help you save some time next Thanksgiving.

The French Fry Bun Burger

If you’re the type who can’t even look at their burger without fries attached, the French Fry Bun Burger is here to help.

Brought to us by Nick over at Dude Foods, the alternative bun concept uses an ingenious edible adhesive called Dab-N-Hold to stick the fries together.

Add ketchup and save some major time. Hell, pour your drink over it, and you’ll be outta there in no time.

PB&J Bun Burger

Remember the New Years resolution that you made to eat better? Well, good luck with that if you’re within driving distance of PYT in Philadelphia, who has come up with the PB&J Bun Burger.

Since we’ve already established that buns made from bread are no longer relevant — PYT has coated a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with kettle chips, deep-fried them, and uses them to sandwich a banana-sriracha marinated juicy beef patty, and applewood bacon.

Just make sure to get one with the crusts cut off, if you expect your kids to eat it.

Have Your Burger Delivered at 87 MPH

ku-xlarge

You want a burger and you want it right gosh darn now. C One Espresso Cafe in New Zealand knows that burger-eaters are impatient, so they’ll deliver your burger as fast as humanly possible — which is around 87 miles per hour.

The restaurant, already equipped with pneumatic tubes to deliver order slips to the kitchen, decided it would be a neat idea to deliver your actual order the same way. Placed in a metal canister, lunch will be on the way before you know it.

Check out a video on the fast food here.
