Watch ‘Machete’ Star Danny Trejo Make Bread Animals

danny-trejo

You may recognize Danny Trejo as the star of Machete, or perhaps another movie where he kills a lot of people. And if you ever wondered, as I often do, what Machete does during his downtime, Nerdist has some insight.

Danny Trejo’s Breadanimals visits the action hero during a break from his machete-wielding schedule, to watch him bake some cute bread animals.

From a sourdough turtle to a brioche alligator — Trejo’s creations are as adorable as they are delicious-looking. Just don’t tell him we said that.

Transformers Bread, Carbohydrates In Disguise

Transformers Bread, more than meets the eye… Transformers bread, carbohydrates in disguise. The pull-apart and nerd cuisine-influenced bread is brought to us by recipe blogger Chris-Rachael Oseland.

The ‘How-To’ can be found here. It’s based on a recipe for Fougassee bread, probably because Transformers are fugazi.

Famous Figures Sculpted From Wonder Bread

Andy Warhol

Artist Milena Korolczuk, recently took a fun break from her work in film and photography, and found a use for Wonder Bread. Using the poor-man’s Play-Doh, Korolczuk sculpted the heads of famous figures, including Andy Warhol, Jay-Z, Plato, Abramović, and Walt Disney.

Thankfully, the crusts are cut off in advance, so kids can enjoy some Wonder Bread art too. See more here.

Horizontal Toaster Should Help Cut Down on Electrocutions

original

Stop sticking a fork in that vertical toaster… The Arzum Firrin loads and delivers horizontally — so it’ll conveniently slide your toast across, instead of it competing with gravity and an inferior spring mechanism.

Sure, the toaster only does one slice at a time, and we’d like to think that most people make sure to unplug their toaster before sticking a metal utensil in it. And, at $72 — you read that correctly — the Firrin doesn’t even tell you the weather or imprint an image of Domo on the bread. However, the horizontal toaster is available in an array of cool colors. Still, no Domo… Fail.
