Surf Pops, Popsicles with Mini Surfboards as Sticks

To help promote the opening of the Deep Craft Atelier pop-up in San Francisco, Thought for Food created Surf Pops. Inspired by the surf-centric shop and its surroundings, Thought for Food came up with a trio of popsicles and packaging.

Flavors were made to reflect the sun, sand, and sea*, while traditional popsicle sticks were replaced with mini wooden surfboards. Even the coolers that helped distribute the Surf Pops were an homage to the local beach vendors, and 60s-era California.

*Sun (habanero peppers, lime, mango), Sand (almond, black sesame, caramel), Sea (cucumber, vanilla, mint).

Cool Off With a Sprite Shower

To help promote their fizzy lemon/lime beverage, Sprite created a beach shower to look like a giant soda fountain. With help from Ogilvy Brasil, beachgoers in Rio were able to pretend they were disposable drinking cups and cool off.

Although it was merely water coming out — actual Sprite would’ve just gotten you all limony.

Baking In The Sun Cookies

With heat warnings and casual beach days imminent — friend of Foodiggity Patti Paige has baked up some hot weather-themed goodies. Baking In The Sun is an awesome series of cookies that will inspire you to catch some rays, and feel thankful that it won’t get up to 350˚F on your beach.

Baking In The Sun Cookies will be available at Patti’s site, Baked Ideas, in May.
