Metallica Has Another Beer

Not content with just one beer, Metallica is back with Enter Night Pilsner.

Because nothing says, “metal” quite like a dainty pilsner, the beer is available in menacing black cans. It clocks in at 5.7 percent ABV with “intense drinkability” and “remarkable flavor and aroma which artfully combine the beauty of a traditional Northern German Pilsner with Arrogant Consortia’s modern overtones of aggression.”

Whether a pilsner can be half as interesting as described, remains to be seen. Even one in collaboration with Stone Brewery, and that band members apparently had a hand in designing.

This Guitar Is Made From Irish Whiskey Barrels

We recently found a guitar that was made from the same plants as tequila. Keeping with the philosophy that alcohol begets great music, Bushmills and Lowden have teamed up to create the Whiskey Barrel Guitar.

The Bushmills x Lowden F-50 was handcrafted from the wood of whiskey barrels, along with ancient bog oak, and reclaimed redwood. The result… An homage to guitar-making, music and whiskey-drinking. Please, do not lick the guitar.

This Lucky Charms Cake Is Filled With Irish Whiskey and Rainbows

Nothing says, “Irish” and “St. Patty’s Day,” quite like the colorful marbits of Lucky Charms Cereal. And, perhaps some Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Charles Phoenix agrees, and has created the Irish Whiskey Soaked Lucky Charms Cake. The cake is covered in the sugary Lucky Charms marbits, with not an oat cluster in sight. And the best part… Cutting into the cake to reveal a rainbow, and the fact that the cake is Jameson-flavored.

Sure, you have a pair of those fancy headphones that all the cool kids are wearing these days — but they never contained wonderful Irish whiskey. Grado Headphones are limited edition handcrafted headphones, made from recycled white oak barrels from Bushmills Whiskey of Ireland.

Sure, at $395 they don’t come cheap. But never will ‘Whiskey In A Jar,’ or ‘Astral Weeks’ on loop sound sweeter.

The Jack Daniel’s Label, Decoded

JD-label

Have you ever wondered what all that stuff on the iconic Jack Daniel’s label means? Or, do you simply not care and just want to drinky? If you answered yes to the first question, Cool Material has decoded each element on the JD label so you don’t have to.

For example, and much to this editor’s surprise, the “No. 7” on the label is actually shrouded in mystery, and not necessarily the number of shots it takes to become a violent, slurring lunatic. Get your whiskey education here.
