Skittles Released White Candies For Pride Month and It Didn’t Go Very Well

Skittles, with only good intentions in mind, has released a series of their candies to help celebrate Pride Month. Relinquishing their various colors, in an effort to give the LGBT community a bit more ownership of the rainbow this month, Skittles created all-white packaging containing all-white candies. Uh-oh.

The campaign… “Only one rainbow matters this pride. Give the rainbow, taste the rainbow.” The problem… most people only see color, and in this case, that color is white. Not to mention that the campaign allows ‘white’ and ‘pride’ to coexist on the same page, and we’ve got ourselves a potential marketing shit-storm.

Regardless of how you view this campaign… I can’t help but think that the real issue, is how to separate and discard the yellow candies now? What do you think of this?

Taste The Rainbow With A Skittles Cake

5

Your plain ol’ angel and devil food cakes are fine… but they have absolutely no Skittles in them. Cookies, Cupcakes, and Cardio is here to change all of that, with the Skittles Cake.

The rainbow candies are broken down to help create the cake’s colorful innards, with a Skittles-infused buttercream icing. To help make it the most rainbowiest cake to ever rainbow, you could top yours with even more Skittles. Good luck at the dentist.

How To Pair Wine With Halloween Candy

101514-winecandy-header

It’s late Halloween night, and the kids are done tricking and/or treating. But they’re asleep now, and it’s time to do what any good parent would do…. Start drinking and raid their candy stash.

Be prepared this Halloween with this handy chart, that’ll help pair a wine with all that candy. Did your kids get an abundance of Skittles? Then you’ll want a dry white wine at the ready. Kit Kats are versatile, in that they pair well with a sparkling wine or medium red.

Did the kids get a lot of candy corns? Then there’s no hope for you this evening, and you should get better neighbors.
