Skittles, with only good intentions in mind, has released a series of their candies to help celebrate Pride Month. Relinquishing their various colors, in an effort to give the LGBT community a bit more ownership of the rainbow this month, Skittles created all-white packaging containing all-white candies. Uh-oh.
The campaign… “Only one rainbow matters this pride. Give the rainbow, taste the rainbow.” The problem… most people only see color, and in this case, that color is white. Not to mention that the campaign allows ‘white’ and ‘pride’ to coexist on the same page, and we’ve got ourselves a potential marketing shit-storm.
Regardless of how you view this campaign… I can’t help but think that the real issue, is how to separate and discard the yellow candies now? What do you think of this?

After Instagram recently lost their collective minds over Starbucks’ (not-so) secret Pink Drink and subsequent Purple Drink, it only made sense to complete the frappy rainbow.
Behold, Starbucks’ Yellow Drink, Green Drink and Blue Drink. Most of the colors are created with creative adjustments to already-existing menu items — you just need to know how to ask your barista for them.
Pop Sugar has the lowdown on each flavor and your ordering instructions here.

Remember that rainbow food craze? Of course you do… it’s been a relentless stream of edible color for the past month.
Now, raw fish and rice wants to saturate Instagram, and has answered the call with Rainbow Sushi. Whether it’s a combination of ingredients forming the spectrum, or the rice grains are dyed — these rolls will add some much-needed color to sushi night.

Do not adjust your screen. These corn cobs are legitimately multi-colored. Thanks to Glass Gem Corn and their Rainbow Corn, we no longer have to deal with boring yellow kernels.
Oklahoma-based farmer, Carl Barnes, came up with rainbow corn, by harvesting heirloom corn seeds, once used by Native American tribes.
Now, anyone can add some much-needed color to their meals — with the seeds now available at Native Seeds.
