A Knife That Toasts Bread While It Slices Is The Best Invention

toast-knife

The process of slicing bread, and then placing it in the toaster, takes up too much time in the morning. Thankfully, there are inventors like Colin Furze looking out for you, who’s created the Toasting Knife.

Hooked up to a microwave transporter, a modified electric knife blade is heated up enough that it will toast your bread while it slices. Although, it is not an ideal toasting, it’s no worse than the first slice that we burn every morning. Please watch this.

This Knife Block IS SPARTA!!!

Sparta-Knife-Block

Spartans! Ready your knives… For tonight, we dine in hell! The Sparta Knife Block may seem hopelessly outnumbered in the kitchen, but it’s determined to hold off an army of dinner guests.

Made from locally grown and ecologically sustainable maple and walnut, there’s only 50 of the wooden Spartans being produced. Of course, 300 would’ve been better, although you’d still lose dinner.

Real world problem… You’re in the middle of your meal, and you need to open another beer. Sure, you could stop what you’re doing and find the bottle opener, but that would just cut into your eating time.

Brew Cutlery is here to help, with a set of cutlery that includes a handy bottle opener on the end. Whether you’re in the middle of scooping, impaling or cutting your food — you only have to flip your cutlery around to pop open a beer. Problem solved.

The utensils are a minimalist design of 18/10 stainless steel. Currently in Kickstarter mode, you can visit the site and check it out.

A Kitchen Knife Inspired by Cavemen

dezeen_Primitive-knife-by-Michele-Daneluzzo-for-Del-Ben_ss_3

You’d think that a kitchen tool that draws inspiration from someone who lived in a cave and had a pet dinosaur, would be considered crude by our modern standards. However, Italian kitchenware maker Del Ben and designer Michele Daneluzzo actually borrowed a design from the prehistoric man and created The Primitive.

The knife, inspired by Stone-age era cutting tools, are handle-less with a large top edge to grip. Perfectly tapered and sharpened, little pressure is needed to slice through veggies, fruits, the occasional Brontosaurus burger, or anything that you’ll be cooking. Assuming you’ve already discovered fire.
