Horse Sushi Goes To Great Lengths

hs-1

Just when we thought that we’d seen it all with Ramen sushi, sushi socks, and California Rolls — along comes another questionable sushi-related item.

Horse meat sushi is brought to us by Japanese restaurant Nikuzushi, who forgoes the traditional raw fish and specializes in meat and vinegared rice. The horse sushi is available in a few varieties — such as lean meat, belly, and seaweed-wrapped diced meat.

So if you’re looking to win at dinner, this might be the place to show up at. Let it ride.

Burger King Japan Has Created An All-Black Cheeseburger Because Of Course They Have

BK-japan-black-burger-main-1

Burger King Japan, not content with boring beige buns and yellow cheese, brings us the The Kuro Burger. The terrifying-looking sandwich is made so by blacking out almost every component.

Black bun, black sauce, and a somewhat disturbing black cheese. All colored naturally with bamboo charcoal and squid ink. Natural or not… Black cheese!!

Seen above is the Kuro Pearl, followed by the Kuro Diamond below. At least the Diamond adds some splashes of color. Still… Black cheese!! This is too much, Japan… even for you.

A Pizza Hut Run By Cats, Because Japan

cat-pizza-hut-hed-2014

Cats are the undisputed champions of mindless internet entertainment. So, it only makes sense that they should get to run their own restaurant on the internet. And, if this were to ever happen, it also makes sense that this would take place in Japan.

Pizza Cat is an ongoing web series by Pizza Hut Japan, with episodes that include our cast of cats attempting to run a Pizza Hut. That is until they fall back into their cat-like habits, such as standing on keyboards, and being excruciatingly lazy.

Like cats and pizza? You can watch episodes of Pizza Cat on YouTube. And, if you figure out the point of this series, please feel free to let us know.

Not content with waiting for it to pass by on the conveyor belt and ingest it, women in Japan are now wearing sushi all the time.

Sushi nail art is a thing in Japan… just sit in front of your nail lady and request the makicure.

If you just can’t get enough Pokémon-related food — and honestly, who can? — there’s now a Pikachu-themed restaurant in Japan.

The pop-up cafe serves up generous helpings of your favorite pocket monster — including a Pikachu Burger, Pikachu Curry Rice, and desserts such as a Pikachu head made from mango pudding.

The Pikachu Cafe will be open from July 19th to August 31st, if you’re craving some delicious pocket monster or Poké Ball.
