First Look: The $666 Douche Burger

Last week, we posted what we thought was The World’s Most Expensive Burger. Almost immediately, we received emails and comments calling bullshit on Serendipity and their $295 Le Burger Extravagant — which led us to an even more expensive $666 hamburger.

Happy to knock Serendipity off their pedestal of pretentiousness, we helped introduce our readers to The Douche Burger by NYC-based 666 Burger. Now, we finally have visual evidence of the hamburger — in all its douchiness. Please enjoy.

This Is Now The World’s Most Expensive Burger

Well, that didn’t take long. After Foodiggity reported on the world’s most expensive hamburger — mere hours ago — we received an onslaught of emails and comments disputing Serendipity’s claim of being the world’s most expensive hamburger. Enter the $666 Douche Burger.

Created by 666 Burger, a NYC food truck, the Douche Burger is more than double the price of Serendipity’s entry, with a fraction of the pretentiousness. A foie-stuffed, gold-leaf-wrapped Kobe patty is topped with caviar, lobster, truffles, Gruyere melted with Champagne steam, and BBQ sauce made using Kopi Luwak coffee. If you’re wondering why Kopi Luwak coffee is such a luxury item, perhaps it’s best not to know.

And, according to 666 Burger… “[The Douche Burger] may not taste good, but will make you feel rich as f*ck.” I’ll have two.

World’s Most Expensive Hamburger

Serendipity 3 in New York City is at it again. But rather than an over-the-top sundae for rich people, they recently set the record for the world’s most expensive hamburger. Officially titled Le Burger Extravagant [douche chill], the $295 burger is a mix of Japanese Wagyu beef infused with 10-herb white truffle butter, and a list of anger-inducing ingredients that continues for what seems like forever.

Profits from the burger will be donated to The Bowery Mission — a nonprofit organization that feeds and assists the New York City’s homeless population. Maybe they’d like a cheeseburger?

Behold The Lasagna Burger

Nick of DudeFoods.com appears to be ahead of the curve on extreme food. His latest monstrosity is The Lasagna Burger, and it’s as awesome as it sounds. In what makes a pizza burger look like a veggie wrap, the Lasagna Burger is a ground beef patty encased in lasagna noodles — with added tomato sauce, sausage, ricotta and mozzarella on a hoagie roll. Yes, but is it a Sangweech? I say “perhaps.”
