When convenience and ‘coolness factor’ are allowed to cloud one’s better judgement, the result is usually a new type of food-on-a-stick. Well, coffee can now take its place amongst such wonders as corn dogs and Sushi Poppers.
What Color Is Your Heiney?
In a move that can only be described as ‘Coors-Light-Like’, Heineken has thrown its hat into the ring of embarrassing packaging gimmicks.
Heineken is allowing users to design their own six-pack by choosing a bottle color, adding a custom message, and a Jones Soda-like option of adding a photo. But before you start thinking that this is even remotely cool—the custom bottles are only available for Heineken drinkers in Ireland, and a personalized six-pack of this once reputable beer would cost about $36.

37 Reasons to Love a Twinkie
Has there ever been a more curious and fascinating food item than the Twinkie? Does it really have an infinite shelf life? How do they get the cream filling in there? And, first and foremost, what exactly is in this yellowish spongy treat? Well, we now have our answer in disturbing photographic form.
A new book, titled 37 or so Ingredients, supplies visuals of our Twinkie contents for those who can’t bring themselves to read the food label. Photographer Dwight Eschliman takes his obsession with processed foods and individually displays the Twinkie’s polysyllabic chemical compounds—reinforcing the Twinkie’s status as a true wonder of science by displaying them in petri dishes.
For more information or to order a copy of the book, email twinkiebook[at]eschlimanphoto[dot]com.

Bacon fanaticism appears poised and ready for its leather jacket and water skis. What was once cool, will soon find itself towed along by Richie Cunningham to its embarrassing, watery demise, i.e., jumping the shark.
Eye Candy Recipes
Recently, foodiggity featured a website called Recipe Look—dedicated to displaying user submitted entries of hand drawn recipes. This is an interesting enough concept that made us wonder why we do not see more visual recipes. Then we realized that most of the drawings submitted to Recipe Look—for lack of a better term—sucked.
