Food as Rorschach Inkblots

rorschach

What do you see when you look at these Rorschach patterns of food by Spanish photographer Esther Lobo? There’s no wrong answer here.

In the photo series, appropriately-titled Rorschach, Lobo creates imagery with food similar to the old-school crazy test. As for me, I don’t see anything, they’re just making me hungry. I know I have issues.

Turn Any Food Into Pop Rocks With Popping Sugar

popping-sugar-13-lb

Food that doesn’t crackle in your mouth like Pop Rocks is kind of boring. Pop Sugar by Molecule-R is here to help.

Made from a carbon-dioxide infused sugar — the same found in Pop Rocks — sprinkle a little on anything that you’d like to make sweet and disturbingly crackly.

Pucker, A Photo Series of Babies Tasting Lemons For The First Time

puckerbabieslemons02

If you’re the type who likes to see pained expressions on the faces of innocent toddlers, you’ve come to the right place. Pucker is actually all in good fun, taking advantage of the hypersensitive palates of babies, as they sample lemons for the first time.

The project is brought to us by photographer David Wile, who managed to get most of the young kids to grimace adorably for the camera. We say “most” because some of them actually appear to enjoy the sour blast. Those are the kids we’ll need to keep an eye on.

Planets, The Sun and Moon Recreated With Frying Pans

9557465

Pan Planets is a project that recreates a few well-known celestial bodies in ordinary skillets. Brought to us by Italian artists, Giuliano Antonio Lo Re and Matteo Gallinelli — the series uses water, ink, dust, coloring and creative lighting to transform the cookware.

Included in Pan Planets are Earth, Uranus, Mars, Jupiter, the sun and the moon. But a question… Is Uranus non-stick? Or, does Uranus stick? I bet it sticks. See more here.

Burger Coasters Will Deliciously Protect Your Tables

burger-coasters-main

Nobody likes drink rings. And everyone loves cheeseburgers… Except vegetarians, who incidentally leave the most drink rings behind. Anyway, Burger Coasters are here to help save your tables at your next party.

Included in the set of six coasters are all the components of a yummy burger — including the top and bottom bun, patty, and all the fixins. Vegetarians can use the lettuce and tomato. Vegans aren’t invited.
