The Oreo cookie wafer… It’s round, distinctively embossed, and if oversized and rendered in cast iron, would make an ideal manhole cover. Fortunately, artist Andrew Lewicki was thinking ahead.

Behold the Oreo Manhole Cover. At 28 inches in diameter, and actually cast in iron, the replica chocolate wafer will certainly keep you from falling into any manhole. Unfortunately, it does not come double stuffed.

The World’s Most Expensive Kebab

To promote the launch of The Great Food Truck Race, Food Network has commissioned the World’s Most Expensive Kebab.

Created by chef Andy Bates, the ‘King of Kebabs’ includes champagne-infused mint and cucumber yogurt, barrel-aged ewe’s milk feta cheese, and coeur de boeuf. And of course, no over-the-top foodstuff would be complete without the superfluous edible gold leaf.

The asking price for this new street-food-gone-fancy is $1,225. In other news, the US is still broke.
