For this edition of Food Art Friday, we keep the meat train rollin’. After recently covering one of our favorite artists and meat connoisseurs, Alyson Thomas, I was psyched to get introduced to Mike Geno — known amongst some circles as ‘Meat Man Mike’. How could we go wrong?

Philadelphia-based artist, Mike Geno, a.k.a. Meat Man Mike, has earned his moniker in more ways than one. First, Mike actually worked as a meat cutter, while an undergrad at Temple University. That familiarity with the product, along with the typical financial hardships of an art major, is what led him to his subject matter of choice.

What Does Fahrvergnügen Taste Like? Volkswagen’s Edible Print Ad

Volkswagen, no stranger to some wacky marketing gimmicks, is running an edible print ad in South Africa. Urging you to ‘Eat The Road’, the ad is made from ‘glutinous rice flour, water, salt, propylene glycol, FD&C colour and glycerine’ — assuming they combine to create asphalt flavor.

McDonald’s Print Ad From Finland Is Udderly Disturbing

To promote their new Double Flavor Milkshakes, and remind us that they might actually be made with real milk, McDonald’s Finland created this ad — complete with teats. Shot seemingly from the cow’s perspective, checking out its own underside, the bovine has formed its udders to indicate the number two, or peace? Or are these uncircumcised penises? What is going on here? And who wants a shake?
