Watch A Vegetarian Try Meat For The First Time In 22 Years, Reach Nirvana

vegetarian-trying-meat
For those out there who don’t eat meat… Firstly, what are you doing on this website? And, secondly, there appears to be a possibility that you’ll eventually turn to meat-eating, even if it’s just to see what the fuss is about.

Former vegetarian and casting director at The Onion, Stephanie Potakis, recently decided to end a 22-yr meat drought. And, if you’re going to make the switch — crispy chicken, bone marrow, and Wagyu beef at Chicago’s Swift & Sons Steakhouse is the way to go.

Judging by Stephanie’s comments such as, “I get what like ‘juicy’ means now,” pointing at an empty femur bone where there was once marrow and declaring it her new favorite meal, and it all ending in what appears to be a state of pure nirvana — it’s safe to say that we may have a convert.  Please watch…

Vegetarian Food Art Is Your Adorbz of The Day

simsim-cooking-vegetarian-food-art-7

Proving that fruits and vegetables can be cute too, Hong Kong-based cook SimC creates adorable food art scenes, with no meat anywhere in sight.

Most of the art includes pop culture characters such as Snoopy, Pikachu, Nemo and Hello Kitty — made from various foodstuffs that are almost too cute to eat. Even if none of the ingredients are pork or beef-related. See more below, or over at SimC’s Facebook.

the-salad-jar

OK, hipsters. We didn’t mind when you created a cocktail shaker out of a mason jar, or when you turned your signature container into a travel mug. But Mason Jar Salads? And, according to Gothamist, this movement didn’t originate in Brooklyn?!? I don’t even know you anymore, hipsters. Enjoy your little jarred salads… We’re outta here.

But seriously — people apparently love these. And when we say “people,” we mean Pinterest-trolling vegans. There’s also a proven method to the perfect jar-o-salad — see below.

A New Mural That Celebrates Vegetarianism and Fruit and Vegetable Suicide

Street artist Blu recently created a mural in Ordes, Spain to advocate vegetarianism. While using his signature style and brand of humor, it depicts fruits and vegetables making the ultimate sacrifice via whirring blender, while a crowd of fellow produce cheers them on. Cows and pigs would never do such a thing.
