Edible Water Balls Are The Future

September 23, 2015 by Chris Durso

It’s often said that we should drink eight glasses of water a day. Now, we have to figure out how many balls it’s gonna take to stay hydrated.

Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez, Guillaume Couche, and Pierre Paslier of Skipping Rocks Lab have created Ooho — an edible water sphere that’ll help you get your H20 whenever, wherever.

The water balls are made possible with help of a molecular gastronomy technique called spherification — which encapsulates water within an edible gelatinous membrane. The project was created to help replace the single-use plastic water bottles that are overtaking the planet.

The best part, is that they’re looking for beta testers of the product. So, go get some balls.
