Pop Culture Characters Reimagined As Cheeseburgers

2

We’ve all been hungry enough, where everything starts to look like cheeseburgers. Artist Philip Tseng recently created the series What If They Were Cheeseburgers? to toy with our emotions, turning pop culture characters into the object of our desire.

Fattening up a few superheroes such as Batman and Wolverine makes them more burger-like, while Mario isn’t much of a stretch. See more at Tseng’s site here.

Famous Chunkies, Pop Culture Characters Get Fat

5

Our favorite pop culture icons always seem to remain in perfect shape. But what if they, like actual people, were to let themselves go? Let’s find out, shall we?

Famous Chunkies, brought to us by artist Alex Solis, is a fun cartoon series that provides a visual of some fattened-up pop culture icons. Poor fat Spider-Man will hardly be able to do whatever a spider can now, while Darth Vader apparently discovered the Death Star food court.

And, Captain America… Let’s just say he’s never looked more American. See more below, and the entire series here.

Having trouble getting the kids to eat a healthy lunch? Perhaps you’re not making their lunchboxes adorable enough.

San Francisco-based father and blogger Beau Coffron, a.k.a. Lunchbox Dad, creates cute pop culture-inspired lunches every week for his two kids.

Compartmentalized, bento-style, his kids are treated to anything from a few banana minions to Captain America’s shield. Most would have trouble digging into Kermit’s head, but as long as the kids are eating healthy.

Pop Culture Bento Boxes

If we know anything about kids, it’s that they enjoy nothing more than having their lunch staring back at them. Especially when the food is crafted to resemble their favorite pop culture character. Luckily, Heather Sitarzewski of LunchboxAwesome has put together a collection of such bentos.

The series began as a way for Heather to provide a fun lunch for her son, while exercising her own creative side. And, while unintentional, it also helped to make the other kids’ lunches appear that much more boring.
