All Fifty U.S. States Recreated As Ceramic Plates

November 9, 2015 by Chris Durso

fifty-united-plates

A few years ago, we were introduced to The Fifty United Plates, a series of handmade ceramic plates representing all 50 States.

Although, at the time, it was merely a Kickstarter campaign, we can now have our beloved States in plate-form. Check out the entire collection for sale here.

I also hear that there’s a collection of State-shaped food that would fit perfectly in each one.

Planetary Plates For Extraterrestrial Dining

April 2, 2014 by Chris Durso

Whether you’d like to dine off of your native Earth, or get extraterrestrial for dinner, Planetary Plates should be on your table.

Forego the fancy china, and break out the fine planets for your next dinner party. Sure, your geeky science friends will probably fight over who gets Jupiter, or ask why there isn’t at least a Pluto saucer in the set. But the real fun will be waiting to see who gets to eat off Uranus.

Celestial Serving Bowls

April 16, 2012 by Chris Durso

If you’re serving freeze-dried pot roast and Tang again, or having a few space geeks over for dinner — create some table space with Celestial Serving Bowls. The durable melamine plates are made to look like the sun, earth and moon, and are also conveniently round.

At an enormous fourteen inches in diameter, they just might be large enough to develop their own gravitational pull. Available at ThinkGeek.

The sight of a pizza box gets everyone excited. And when amongst friends, there’s certainly no time to go searching for a plate. Brought to us by designers Yu Kyung Ha, Won Min Jung, and Kwon Young Hee — the Paper Dish concept has built-in and tabbed plates for each slice, to help get that pizza in your pie hole ASAP.
