These Empanadas Are Stamped With Whatever Meat Is Inside and Life Begins Today

Empanadas are life. However, sometimes that life can be confusing because, regardless of the meaty or guava and cheesy goodness that’s inside one, every empanada looks the same from the outside. That confusion ends today.

Although, some have claimed that stamping empanadas is nothing new, the practice has gained stream recently with this Twitter post by @savelexi. Only time will tell if your favorite empanada joint will install an embossing tool in the kitchen so, until then, keep poking holes in yours to figure out which is which.

The Beef Jerky Candle Will Fill The House With Meaty Smoke

When ‘Potpourri’ or ‘Fresh Linen’ candles just aren’t making your house smell meaty enough, there’s now the Beef Jerky Scented Candle.

Brought to us by People’s Choice Beef Jerky, the candle is 100% soy wax infused with high quality fragrance oils, and a wood wick. Light it up, and fill the room with smoke… delicious, meaty smoke.

A Raw Meat Cake Because Japan

These raw meat cakes may look like an unfortunate art project, but they’re not only meant to be cooked and consumed, but also to help celebrate.

Japan has something called ‘meat day,’ celebrated on March 29th. Japanese “yakiniku” restaurant Gyu-Kaku, came up with a fun way to present their beef — in cake form. Not only is this festive, but the meat and veggies are easily removable to place on the grill.

There’s also smaller meat bouquets, if an entire cake is too festive for you, party-pooper. Happy Meat Day, Japan.

Watch A Vegetarian Try Meat For The First Time In 22 Years, Reach Nirvana

vegetarian-trying-meat
For those out there who don’t eat meat… Firstly, what are you doing on this website? And, secondly, there appears to be a possibility that you’ll eventually turn to meat-eating, even if it’s just to see what the fuss is about.

Former vegetarian and casting director at The Onion, Stephanie Potakis, recently decided to end a 22-yr meat drought. And, if you’re going to make the switch — crispy chicken, bone marrow, and Wagyu beef at Chicago’s Swift & Sons Steakhouse is the way to go.

Judging by Stephanie’s comments such as, “I get what like ‘juicy’ means now,” pointing at an empty femur bone where there was once marrow and declaring it her new favorite meal, and it all ending in what appears to be a state of pure nirvana — it’s safe to say that we may have a convert.  Please watch…

What If Meat-Eaters Acted Like Vegans?

"Broccoli? That's what my food eats."
“Broccoli? That’s what my food eats.”

Vegans, although they’re often accused of being a bit smug and self-righteous, are an interesting bunch. Firstly, they somehow don’t find bacon irresistible. And, during the few minutes that they’re not talking about kale, vegans will often use that time to let meat-eaters know how horrible they are.

Spiritual satirist, JP Sears, turns the tables on plant-eaters with If Meat Eaters Acted Like Vegans. Vegans, are now forced to listen to someone relentlessly opine about how they don’t agree with their lifestyle… often mid-bite.

Please don’t let this video ruin your opinion of all carnivores. Some are actually very nice.
