A Raw Meat Cake Because Japan

These raw meat cakes may look like an unfortunate art project, but they’re not only meant to be cooked and consumed, but also to help celebrate.

Japan has something called ‘meat day,’ celebrated on March 29th. Japanese “yakiniku” restaurant Gyu-Kaku, came up with a fun way to present their beef — in cake form. Not only is this festive, but the meat and veggies are easily removable to place on the grill.

There’s also smaller meat bouquets, if an entire cake is too festive for you, party-pooper. Happy Meat Day, Japan.
