Coke Magazine Ad That Turns Into an iPhone Dock

October 4, 2012 by Chris Durso

Remember when the most activity you’d get from a magazine ad was it smelling of cheap perfume? Well, now they turn into iPhone docks. Brought to us by Coca-Cola Brazil, the ad placed in Capricho Magazine allows subscribers to roll it up, dock their iPhone and use it as an amplifier. The ad is to help celebrate Coca-Cola.FM‘s 1st birthday.

Deep Fried Gadgets

June 4, 2012 by Chris Durso

deep fried iphone

There’s a theory, that anything could taste good after being deep fried — just ask any state fair. Brooklyn-based photographer Henry Hargreaves wants to test this theory with Deep Fried Gadgets. Or, at least he’d like to provoke the thought of how delicious your iPhone would taste. Our guess is, delicious.

And no worries, tech geeks. Hargreaves didn’t actually send gadgets to their deep-fried doom. He recreated them with prints laid over foam core, just to get the point across, and to save a few thousand dollars.

Of Course Angry Birds Has A Cookbook

June 13, 2011 by Chris Durso

Angry Birds — the video game keeping smartphone users that much more antisocial — has become a global phenomenon. The game which pits bird against pig, has accounted for over 1.2 billion hours of usage in the U.S. alone. Not to mention additional merchandise, including the sale of over three million plush toys and as many as 30 million T-shirts.

So it only makes sense that the disgruntled little birds would get their own cookbook. The upcoming cookbook will be targeted at families and include mostly egg-based recipes… and we’re guessing some pork. The book also encourages the addition of crack in all recipes to make them as addictive as the game.*
