The Pasta Fork Will Improve Spaghetti Night

September 12, 2016 by Chris Durso

pasta-fork

Spaghetti is awesome. Twirling a fork is hard. So, the Pasta Fork will be your new favorite accessory on spaghetti night.

Instead of trying to spin a perfect circle with an ordinary fork, the Pasta Fork has a spiral handle that, as you run your fingers down it, spin the fork for you. See it in action below.

Remember the fun and glue high you had when assembling plastic toy models? Now, you can have at least half the fun with Special Spoons by Dutch designer Ineke Hans.

Assembled like a set of plastic toy model parts, the utensils can be removed from their holder and used to scoop up, stab, or spread your favorite foodstuffs. Have a good tube of airplane glue handy during lunch for the full effect.

Biodegradable Vegetable Utensils

August 7, 2013 by Chris Durso

graft-1

To help bring attention to the idea of using plant-based materials to make everyday items, product designer Qiyun Deng created Graft. The series includes tableware that resembles various vegetables — acting as a reminder that you’re using a biodegradable utensil made from plants.

Although the series is only a concept, created for Deng’s diploma project, Graft may receive enough attention to get it into mass production.

However, we’re going to need some sort of spork included. May I suggest it resemble a fig, and we call it a “fork?” I’m open to suggestions. See more here.

Rolognese Spaghetti Fork, For The Noodle Twirling-Challenged

June 7, 2013 by Chris Durso

rolognose-spaghettigabel

For kids who haven’t mastered their spaghetti-twirling, or an adult with questionable motor skills — there’s the Rolognese Spaghetti Fork. Simply place the spaghetti fork in your paskettys and turn the crank.

Your pasta will be conveniently rolled for you. Sorry, there’s nothing to automatically wipe the sauce from your face.
