This Guy Is A Full-Time Banana Artist

What do you do for a living? Well, if you’re able to answer that question with, “Professional Banana Artist,” then you win life.

Netherlands-based artist, Stephan Brusche (@isteef), creates banana masterpieces… full-time. Using a combination of knives, ball-point pen and paint, Stephan modifies the banana’s peel — whether it’s illustrating directly on it, or peeling it back to give the art another dimension.

See more banana masterpieces below and over on Instagram.

Wardrobe Snacks, A Vintage Photo Series of Clothes Matching Foods

wardrobe-snacks-main

Wardrobe Snacks is a photo collaboration between photographer Kelsey McClellan and prop/set stylist Michelle Maguire. The series follows a few casual diners, with meals that perfectly match their outfits. The eaters also seem quite content with having no table to rest their meals on — with only their polyester-laden laps to catch any spills or crumbs.

Although there’s an abundance of polyester, elastic waistbands, and the Kodachrome look of the photos — the series was done recently. At least any spilled food will clean up easily off that casual-wear. See more Wardrobe Snacks here.

A Beyoncé Statue Made of Cheese Is Our Bae

brie-yonce-beyonce-cheese-statue

And, you thought Beyoncé’s pregnancy photo-shoot was cheesy. This Beyoncé Statue Made of Cheese was created by sculptor David Bradley and The Robin Collective, for the East Village Cheese and Wine Festival in London.

Although the 45-lb statue is made from a solid block of cheddar, it’s titled the Brie-Oncé… I think I would’ve gone with “Whey-Oncé.” Either way, worship your new Queen Bey, or Whey… whichever.

Chef Creates Menu Then Wears The Entire Meal On His Face

chef-face-post-header

Sure, you could present your menu on boring paper with fancy words in a tired font, or, you can get creative and present the entire meal on your face.

That’s exactly what Chef Robbie Postma, of J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam, decided to do. In collaboration with artist Robert Harrison, they’ve created MENU — actual ingredients presented on the chef’s face.

The MENU begins with vegetables and progresses through some main courses, wine, desserts and coffee. Each ingredient, down to the last coffee bean and grain, is genuine and was applied by hand.

See some of the backstory and the process involved in the video below.

Awesome Fruit and Vegetable Carvings Are The Ultimate Garnish

gaku-fruit-vegetable-carving2

Fruit and vegetable garnishes have taken up space on our plate for decades. However, these edible carvings by Japanese artist, Gaku, shouldn’t be pushed aside, but rather stared at and admired for a few hours.

The intricate carvings, often geometrically-inspired, are done with a steady hand and X-acto blade. Check out more below and over at Instagram.
