This $100 Gold Donut Is Fancy

And, you thought your Bavarian Creme donut was fancy? It’s got nothing on the Golden Cristal Ube Donut.

Created by Björn DelaCruz, of Brooklyn’s Manilla Social Club, the gaudy dessert ring is laced with Cristal and covered in 24-karat gold leaf.

The price tag for one donut… $100. If you need a dozen, that’ll run $1000, which will save you a few bucks for coffee.

Keep Your Coffee and Donut Warm With This Ingenious Mug

heat-mug

Coffee and donuts were invented with the sole purpose of joining forces to help make mornings tolerable. However, if you’re moving a bit slow in the morning — probably because you haven’t had your coffee yet — the pair can lose heat, making the morning suck even more.

The BEST. MORNING. EVER. Mug is here to solve your morning dilemma. The ceramic mug is designed to rest your donut or muffin on top. The heat trying to escape from the coffee warms the breakfast item, while that same item insulates the mug.

So, they work off of each other… like a perfect pair should. Best morning ever, indeed. The mug is currently in Kickstarter phase, but they’ve already surpassed their goal. So, you can start enjoying warm things in the morning again.

Sorry, jelly. Your reign as the ultimate donut-stuffing has come to an end. There’s always your complementary role within a PB&J, and whatever other work we can find for you now. Stay strong.

The Cinnamon Roll-stuffed Donut is to blame. Created by Chef Thiago Silva of Catch NYC, the cinna-roll/donut hybrid is still in its experimental stage. You’ll know when it’s ready for sale by the mile-long line of hipsters.

Finally, A Donut Plate With A Hole In It

donut-plate

The problem with ordinary round plates, is that they don’t account for the hole in your donut. Although, nobody can confirm why we’d need a hole in a plate, these Donut Plates seem very necessary.

Brought to us by Etsy shop, Yellow Tree Store, the ceramic plates are handmade to perfectly fit your circular breakfast. Sure, you could use them for a bagel too. But then there’d be no sprinkles to collect in the plate-hole.
