KFC Has Created An Escape Pod To Protect You From Wi-Fi and Relatives

The season of non-stop eating, shopping, and coupon emails is upon us. And, sometimes, we may want to escape those harmful wi-fi signals and dinner guests that ask too many questions.

KFC knows your pain, and has the answer in the form of a large metal tent. The KFC Internet Escape Pod is officially a thing. The pod will seat up to four adults looking for a reprieve, and protection from the internet, as the metal walls block out signals.

Of course, no KFC merchandise would be complete without Colonel Sanders involved. Therefore, the Colonel can be seen here — his long arms offering a large internet-blocking hug. So, as KFC probably intended, grab a bucket of chicken, pull on the drumstick door-knob, and enjoy your escape.

Oh, did we mention that the KFC Internet Escape Pod is a one-off that costs $10,000? No escape for you!

The Colonel Sanders Vintage Halloween Costume Will Get You All The Candy

If you’re still not sure what to be for Halloween, and wouldn’t mind kicking it old-school, The Colonel Sanders Costume is here to help.

Officially-titled, Halloween Harland, the costume will not only disguise you as the world’s greatest chicken salesman, but the mask and bib pays tribute to those dime store Halloween costumes from the 70s. The Halloween Harland set is available at the KFC Store, with KFC Trick or Treat Buckets available at participating restaurants after Oct. 27th.

Hopefully, your neighbors don’t participate in this vintage Halloween theme, or you’ll probably be getting spare change and NECCO Wafers in your basket.

KFC Made A Romance Novella Featuring A Sexy Colonel Sanders

If Colonel Sander’s goatee, string tie and secret recipe ever did it for you, then you’re in for quite a treat. KFC has upped the Colonel’s sexy-game, with the release of Tender Wings of Desire, a romance novella featuring Harland Sanders as sex object.

KFC believes that this sordid tale of Southern love and greasy fingers could be part of the ultimate Mother’s Day gift. The novella, paired with KFC’s $20 Fill Up, will help fulfill mom’s twisted fast food fantasies, while providing a family meal for those responsible.

Tender Wings of Desire is real, free, and available now for download. KFC will also surprise 100 fans on Facebook with the chance to win dinner and a hard copy of the book. Doesn’t mom deserve some Colonel this year?

“When Lady Madeline Parker runs away from Parker Manor and a loveless betrothal, she finally feels like she is in control of her life. But what happens when she realizes she can’t control how she feels? When she finds herself swept into the arms of Harland, a handsome sailor with a mysterious past, Madeline realizes she must choose between a life of order and a man of passion. Can love overcome lies? What happens in the embrace of destiny, on the Tender Wings of Desire?”

Rob Lowe Is The New Colonel Sanders

The hottest gig on television now appears to be portraying KFC’s Colonel Sanders. And, luckily for those looking for work, the role has been what you might call ‘extremely interchangeable.’

Next up to sport the string tie and goatee is Rob Lowe. The new campaign is for the Chicken Zinger Sandwich, which KFC may or may not be launching into space. It’s hard to tell, as the viewer will surely be distracted by the new Colonel’s seemingly eternal youth, and uneven Kentucky accent.

Colonel Sanders Is A Comic Book Superhero Now

kfc-comics-3

If you’re really into fried chicken, then perhaps you already fancy Colonel Sanders some type of superhero. Now, the KFC founder and mascot is actually immortalized in comic book form, with The Colonel’s Adventure Comics.

The graphic novel, rather than having The Colonel thwarting evil bad guys that promote healthy eating, is actually an origin story of the man behind the bucket o’ chicken.

Hard copies of The Colonel’s Adventure Comics will be made available to this year’s Comic-Con attendees in San Diego. Others who love origin stories, can keep watching Spider-Man reboots, or check out a digital copy of KFC’s comic here.
