This week, The Greatest Food Culture Site Ever* turns 4. So we’re putting together a little retrospective of the past year — complete with a few highlights and lowlights from the past 365 days. We also have a week of fun stuff and giveaways planned to help celebrate, so stay tuned.

Happy Birthday, Buddha

This week, May 17th to be exact, marks the 2,557th birthday of the enlightened one, Buddha. The celebration takes place at The Lantern Festival in Seoul, South Korea — celebrated on the night of May’s full moon.

To do our part here in the States, The Foodiggity Shop is offering our beloved Buddha Butter Dish on sale for the first time ever. Head over to the shop before the end of Sunday 5/18, and get a beautiful ceramic version of the old man to hang out in the fridge.
