This Short Film About Bananas Is B-A-N-A-N-A-S

bananas-video-2

Aptly titled, Bananas, this surreal animation gives us a glimpse into what it might look like, if you were eating a banana during an acid trip.

Brought to us by Future Deluxe, while brightly-colored, the animation takes on a dark undertone — making this film live up to its name in both content and its bat-shit craziness. Please enjoy…

A Handy Video That Explains The Differences Between Similar Foods

Can’t tell a plantain from a banana, or a yam from a sweet potato? Well, first off… What’s wrong with you? Secondly, feel better knowing that you’re not alone, as Buzzfeed felt it necessary to put together Foods You Always Get Mixed Up.

Now, you will no longer try to make a sundae with plantains. And, you can wax poetic to friends as to why bell peppers are different colors, and why whole wheat is for suckers. Enjoy.

A Recurring Comic Strip Printed on Bananas

1

To help kids eat healthy and to pay close attention to their bananas — publishing house Carlsen Verlag and Munich-based ad agency Serviceplan created a recurring comic strip printed on bananas.

Using a laser-etching technique to print on the banana’s flesh, the images follow the adventures of Fyfe — a boy who gains superpowers from eating bananas.

Banana Comic Week 2013, where they distributed the free comics to kids in various countries, appears to have been a success. Kids were consistently looking forward to catching up with the adventures of Fyfe, and getting their daily potassium overload.

Even More Banana Tattoos

The art of banana tattooing is nothing new. But we may have just found the master of banana-bruising, in artist End Cape.

As a reminder, the art is created by sticking a pin into the banana’s flesh, that results in the color change. Cape’s banana pointillism is extremely time-consuming, with one piece sometimes taking more than five hours. We just hope that his family enjoys banana bread.
