History of the Hot Dog

April 5, 2011 by Chris Durso

The hot dog — an already questionable food item, made even more appealing with its history told by a talking rat. From the dog’s humble beginnings on the streets of New York City and Coney Island, to cementing its legacy as the pioneer of street food.

The rat even goes on to claim that the term ‘hot dog’ was invented at Yankee Stadium — giving already intolerable Yankee fans something else to crow about. Please enjoy.
