Meticulous Pits and Pyramids Made From Cookies, Candy and Sandwiches

pits-pyramids

The Pyramids of Giza are pretty cool, but they’re not made of food. These Pits and Pyramids, by photographer Sam Kaplan, are truly a wonder of architecture… and they don’t have any dead Egyptians in them.

Meticulously constructed from cookies, candies, and sandwiches — Kaplan stacks and films these pits and pyramids so precisely, that you’d swear they were generated by some computer program… or by the aliens who built those other famous pyramids.

Pizza Ice Cream by Coolhaus Delivers

coolhaus-pizza-ice-cream-3

Pizza, not needing any help to be awesome, has teamed up with ice cream to create one of the more polarizing treats we’ve seen in awhile.

Pizza Ice Cream is brought to us by Coolhaus. Known mostly for their architecturally-inspired ice cream sandwiches — which are awesome — they’ve also been known to tease our palates and minds with funky ice cream flavors. Fried Chicken & Waffles, Cream Cheese & Rye, and Peking Duck… just to name a few.

This particular pizza ice cream is created with a mascarpone and olive oil base, then adds basil, sun-dried tomato and salt. Deliver that to my face-hole, please.

The Tortilla Chip Guitar Will Guac The House

ChipGuitarFinished

To help celebrate Quesopalooza, a day of giving out free cups of cheese, Moe’s Southwest Grill created a Tortilla Chip Guitar.

The fully-functional and mostly edible guitar was made by Atlanta Props, who takes us through the building process, gives us a quick jam, and then promptly smashes it — so there will be no double-dipping. Guac and roll!!!

Quesopalooza is September 17th.

Metallica Budweiser Is Like Regular Budweiser But Blacker

metallicabeer

We’d like to think that Metallica is yet another rock band who’s made their own beer. However, this limited edition Metallica Budweiser is nothing more than The King of Beers in a black can.

There is no hands-on brewing expertise from the band’s lead singer, as there was for Iron Maiden’s Trooper. Nor is the beer inspired by a BBQ of costumed lunatics. No, just Budweiser in a black can. However, there is a Metallica logo on it, so it’s very metal.

Unfortunately, only 91,000 of the black cans are being made, and will only be available in the Quebec area. It’s OK, Americans… there’s always Gwar BQ Brew.
