The World’s Most Expensive Jell-O Robot

August 3, 2012 by Chris Durso

To help promote the Sony Xperia mobile phone, and inspired by director Wes Anderson’s Made of Imagination ads, jelly robots were hidden around the UK. But these are no ordinary jiggly bots. They were created by Bompas & Parr, and stuffed with bling.

Besides being made of super-expensive jelly, the ‘Xperiabots’ contained luxuries such as golden cogs, white truffle valves, and gemstones for eyes. Once the jelly set, the robots were worth around £6000, and whoever found them, got to keep them.
