The Laboratory of Food Analysis, Interactive Art Installation and Nutrition Analyzer

Food Art Friday gets all sciency — sort of. The Laboratory of Food Analysis, by French-born/Amsterdam-based designers Lise Lefebvre and Maxime Morel, is an art installation presented as an interactive analysis of nutrition and diet.

Upon entering the shipping container turned pseudo-laboratory, visitors looking to see some art, become a guinea pig and are taken through a series of mock-scientific experiments. Lise and Maxime, acting as lab assistants, assess each viewer and manufacture a ‘nutricard’ tailored to that person’s preference for customized, natural health remedies.

If you couldn’t already tell, the project was designed to mock the diet and nutrition industry. A fun project regardless, with some well-done graphics and illustration. What would your Nutricard say? Mine just said, “More beer”.

The installation was part of the recent Tokyo Design Week 2011. Thanks to designboom.
