The Fifty United Plates, Porcelain Trays In The Shape of Every US State

thumbnail

We’ve seen skillets and cutting boards in the shape of every US State. Now, you can show your patriotism at the table with The Fifty United Plates. Brought to us by ceramic artists Ryan and Kaitlyn Lawless of Corbé company, the project is currently in a Kickstarter phase that has already reached their target.

So expect to see the state plates available soon. You can start making Oregon-shaped pies and California casseroles. Get Rhode Island if you need to hold a few grains of rice or a small blueberry.

Face It, You Like Playing With Your Food

Finally, you can play with your food and make faces at the table — without feeling the wrath of Mom. The Food Face Dinner Plate is a blank canvas for the aspiring food artist with questionable table manners. Spaghetti goatee? A mashed potato mullet? The only limit to your creativity, is whatever’s for dinner.

Check it out over at the Foodiggity Shop.

Christmas Tree Made From 5000 Pieces of Ceramic Dishware

Even dishware is getting into the Christmas spirit. Officially-titled the Taste Tree, the 30-ft tall structure was created by Belgian design firm Mooz using 5,000 donated plates and cups. Local residents near Hasselt’s main square in Belgium were encouraged to donate unused tableware as a community-building project.
