S’mores Oreos May Or May Not Exist

There was a time when Nabisco would tease us with an Oreo variety that was almost too good for us unworthy plebes — only to have that mystical sandwich cookie become a reality.

Lucky for us, S’mores Oreos is skipping the rumors and hearsay, and will get right down to filling our cookie aisles with awesomeness.

No mention of an actual drop date, but the news comes via a leaked photo from an employee of Mondelez International Inc., the company that produces Oreos. So, now we wait.

Red Velvet Oreos Exist

A few months ago, we were teased with the possibility that Red Velvet Oreos were becoming a reality. However, the grainy camera-phone photos and stories of shenanigans quickly squelched the rumors.

Now, the bigfoot of sandwich cookies is a reality. The limited edition Oreos will arrive on Feb. 2 — just in time to help saturate your food aisles even further with Red Dye #40-influenced foodstuffs for Valentine’s Day.

People was nice enough to offer a taste test of the cookies… So you can decide whether the red Oreos will enhance, or completely destroy, the one day of the year you get to express love.

Churros, seldom needing any help to be awesome, or requiring any type of ridiculous food mash-up, has teamed up with Oreo.

Oreo Churros, brought to us by J&J Snack Foods Corporation, brings the awesome sticks of fried dough together with America’s favorite cookie. Perfect for dipping into milk or the included creme dipping sauce. They can also be used to make your traditional churro-eating friends jealous.

OK, people… Try to remain calm. It’s all been leading up to this, and this is what you’ve been trained for.

Photos of Red Velvet Oreos have surfaced. Although, Nabisco is being rather cryptic about the cookie’s actual existence, their official comments have left the door open for an eventual mass production.

Cookie conspiracy theorists have already weighed-in on the authenticity of the packaging, and a few marketing students have staked claim to the shenanigans.

Either way, based on the attention this apparent hoax has already received, we believe that Nabisco will eventually do the right thing. That is, to start making some Red Velvet Oreos, pronto. Then, take Candy Corn Oreos out back and have them shot.
