Using a boatload of Red Vines Licorice sticks, artist Jason Mecier creates celebrity portraits and movie scenes. With only two colors to work with, Mecier has so far created pretty spot-on likenesses of Freddy Krueger and the infamous pole-licking scene from Showgirls — which is somewhat less gross now.

Film on Fridges: Outdoor Movie Theater Made From Old Refrigerators

Films on Fridges is a film festival in East London, with an outdoor cinema created out of discarded refrigerators. Taking place until through August 13th, the festival is inspired by the upcoming London 2012 Olympics, and will screen films athletic in nature — even Cool Runnings.
