The Kraken Edible Autopsy

We recently reported on the remnants of a kraken that washed ashore in the UK. To investigate this mysterious beast further, Miss Cakehead teamed up with Kraken Rum again, for the Kraken Rum Edible Autopsy.

Aboard the Kraken Hunting sea vessel X-Pilot, various parts of the sea beast were brought aboard — all edible, and ready to be investigated and ingested. The goodies included a giant kraken eye cake filled with rum, Kraken cysts (black pickled onions), eye pupils (black eggs), and a kraken mouth with over 200 teeth made from white chocolate.

Edible kraken parts will also make an appearance at Eat Your Heart Out’s Feed the Beast — October 25-27th at The Rag Factory 16-18 Heneage Street, in London, England.

Release The Kraken Cake

6

If you’re going to help promote a kraken-themed rum — then an enormous tentacle cake makes perfect sense. In honor of The Kraken Black Spiced Rum, a 30-ft. fake tentacle was created on Port Meirion Beach.

Meanwhile, a replica cake was waiting nearby, where it was promptly eaten by a few beachcombers and dudes dressed as ‘Kraken Hunters.’
