Fashion Illustrations With Dresses Made of Food

March 23, 2016 by Chris Durso

Sure, illustrator Edgar Artis could finish his fashion illustrations with more colored pencil. But, why do that, when he can create some yummy couture, by finishing his drawings with food?

Whether the model is sporting a cheese gown, or an M&M’s dress — Artis’s illustrations will make most females want to go shopping. Or, perhaps lunch first, then shop. Check out more below and here.

Paintings of Celebrities On Sandwiches For Some Reason

March 15, 2016 by Chris Durso

Most celebrities strive to have a sandwich named after them. So, a painting series of famous people posing with various sandwiches makes perfect sense.

Celebs on Sandwiches is the series nobody asked for, but it’s now out there, and we cannot look away. From Ellen DeGeneres on a grilled veggie wrap and Taylor Swift on a fried chicken sandwich, to Bernie Sanders on a meatball sub and Aziz Ansari on a turkey panini.

The watercolor paintings, by L.A.-based artist Jeff McCarthy, are available for sale, and are now the new measure of fame.

Postcards That Encourage You To Use Them As A Coffee Coaster

March 14, 2016 by Chris Durso

post-cups

The four stages of receiving a postcard usually goes something like this… Receive postcard, pretend to read postcard, place on desk, use postcard as a coaster. Thankfully, PostCups actually encourage this.

The postcards, created by designers Ink Julep and Jenn Perng, contain illustrations that are incomplete. It is only when the postcard recipient places their coffee on it and creates a coffee ring, that the illustration is complete. Whether you actually read the other side or not.

One pack contains seven illustrations. Check them out here.

This Sh*t Is Bananas, Pop Culture Characters Created Using Bananas and Props

March 3, 2016 by Chris Durso

Vera Wong is a talented illustrator with an obsession for pop-culture and potassium. Using a banana as her canvas, Wong transforms the fruit into various pop culture characters.

While paint and ink begin to give the banana some personality, the art really comes to life with the addition of paper and other props. Wong then peels open and eats every character, so there’s no food waste. Check out more below.

99-bottles

Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety-nine bottles of beer… drink one down, scratch it off the wall… everybody sing!

That song will never get annoying, as long as you have a 99 Bottles of Craft Beer On The Wall Poster. Brought to us by Pop Chart Lab, the interactive poster is a giant scratch-off.

So, the drinker can keep track of all the beers they’ve enjoyed. Singing is optional, but highly encouraged.
