Caffeine-Infused Espresso Bagels Exist

Stop tying up both hands with a bagel in one and a coffee in the other. Einstein Bros. Bagels has come up with a hand and time-saver, with the Espresso Buzz Bagel.

Each one of these ‘Boosted Bagels’ is made with caffeinated flour, which will provide about 32mg of delicious life-affirming caffeine. Although that intake may not be enough to replace your morning cup of coffee, it would surely be a nice accompaniment to your liquid brew.

Unless you eat about six of these bagels instead… you’ll get your precious daily dose of caffeine, and carb intake for the week.

The device accepts Illy espresso pods and will make up to 10 short shorts or 5 long shots, from its 10-oz. water tank. Although creating ambience for your coffee-making will not come cheap — the Music Box Espresso Machine clocks in at $4,200. You read that correctly.

The Waffogato, Our Latest Dessert Obsession From Dominique Ansel

waffo

The mad scientist responsible for the Cronut and Chocolate Chip Cookie Shots, Dominique Ansel, is back with a new dessert. Helping to form single-file madness as we speak, the Waffogato is a waffle-shaped slab of Tahitian vanilla ice cream with bits of Belgian waffle folded in.

It’s then covered with espresso that’s laced with dark Vermont maple syrup. The heat of the espresso not only helps to slowly melt the ice cream waffle, but it apparently emits little tapioca balls and creates an espresso soup of sorts. See you in line.
