Monster Cereals Updated With Modern Horror Characters

machete-mateys

It’s cereal monster season and, let’s face it, our current mascot trio is getting a bit long in the tooth. So, what if these outdated cereals were rebooted with a few modern-day monsters?

HalloweenCostumes.com is here to provide that visual with Cereal Killers. Imagine strolling the cereal aisle and not being able to decide between Friday The 13th-inspired ‘Machete Mateys,’ ‘Fruity Kruegers,’ or ‘Xenomorph Mallows.’

So, how about it, General Mills? Time for an update? Please keep Fruit Brute though.

Edible Typography Spells Out The Food Being Used

sainsburys_coffee

What better way to advertise food, than to play with it?… artistically of course. That’s what UK agency Side by Side did for this campaign for local supermarket retailer Sainbury’s.

Using the appropriate food, the words are created and styled by hand on the appropriate background. See the process in the video below.

Netflix and Chili

netflix-chili

Netflix and Chill is currently the hottest national pastime. The only thing that this activity doesn’t account for, is what’s for snacks after the ‘chill’ part.

Artist Tisha Cherry is on it with Netflix and Chili. Not only does Tisha do her thing, which is to play with food, but by replacing ‘chill’ with ‘chili,’ you might actually finish an episode of Breaking Bad. You can always chill later.

Food Balloons Are Here To Get The Produce Party Started

food-balloons

You’re probably not getting enough inflatables in your diet, so here are some Food Balloons.

Brought to us by artist Vanessa McKeown, boring fruits and vegetables are replaced with fun balloons. Far more entertaining than actual produce, the balloons may even last longer than the organic stuff.

Check out the project below and here.

Face-Shaped Coffee Lids Aren’t Creepy At All

d9941e28951497.55db271b2bf20

Take sips of coffee while getting a morning kiss. Korean designer, Jang Woo-Seok, has designed a disposable coffee cup lid with, not only the requisite sip-hole, but a nose and mouth.

No mention if the lids will actually be available for purchase. You can still kiss your coffee though. It’s OK… You’re amongst friends.
