The Leaning Tower of Coffee Cups

coffee-pisa

We’ve certainly seen our share of coffee cup art. However, this appears to be the first time that coffee cup doodles have been inspired by architecture.

Artist Mark Poulier, specializing in classic architecture illustration, created The Leaning Tower of Coffee Cups. Intricately detailed, stacked and leaned appropriately — the tower looks just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Please do not pose as if holding it up, tourist.

Keep Your Coffee and Donut Warm With This Ingenious Mug

heat-mug

Coffee and donuts were invented with the sole purpose of joining forces to help make mornings tolerable. However, if you’re moving a bit slow in the morning — probably because you haven’t had your coffee yet — the pair can lose heat, making the morning suck even more.

The BEST. MORNING. EVER. Mug is here to solve your morning dilemma. The ceramic mug is designed to rest your donut or muffin on top. The heat trying to escape from the coffee warms the breakfast item, while that same item insulates the mug.

So, they work off of each other… like a perfect pair should. Best morning ever, indeed. The mug is currently in Kickstarter phase, but they’ve already surpassed their goal. So, you can start enjoying warm things in the morning again.

Starbucks Releases A Vampire-Inspired Frappuccino Called The Frappula

frappula

Step away from the Pumpkin Spice Latte… there’s a new fleeting drink offering from Starbucks. The Frappula, a vampire-inspired beverage, is a white chocolate frapp with mocha sauce, whipped cream, and raspberry sauce as the blood part.

Hurry though… The Frappula is only around until Nov. 1. Coincidentally, this also marks the official end of our national pumpkin spice nightmare.

Edible Typography Spells Out The Food Being Used

What better way to advertise food, than to play with it?… artistically of course. That’s what UK agency Side by Side did for this campaign for local supermarket retailer Sainbury’s.

Using the appropriate food, the words are created and styled by hand on the appropriate background. See the process in the video below.

Dyeing Your Hair ‘Pumpkin Spice’ Is A Thing Now

psl-hair

Don’t worry, people. It’s almost November 1st… and our national pumpkin spice nightmare will soon be over. Until then, woman will not only be sipping their PSLs, whilst wearing knit sweaters and UGGs, but might also be dyeing their hair appropriately. Ugh, again.

Dyeing hair “Pumpkin Spice” is now a thing, and is offered by salons such as Kennaland Salon in Brooklyn, New York. And, before you express your obvious concerns that this is simply, “going redhead,” colorist Laura Estroff explains, “pumpkin spice hair has more copper undertones whereas gingersnap tends to fall under the category of brunette with red undertones.”

Wait a minute… Gingersnap hair is a thing too? Ugh, again.
