The problem with ordinary round plates, is that they don’t account for the hole in your donut. Although, nobody can confirm why we’d need a hole in a plate, these Donut Plates seem very necessary.
Brought to us by Etsy shop, Yellow Tree Store, the ceramic plates are handmade to perfectly fit your circular breakfast. Sure, you could use them for a bagel too. But then there’d be no sprinkles to collect in the plate-hole.

Inspired by the elegant minimalism of Imperial Stormtroopers, Swedish artist Eszter Imre created a series of coffee cups.
Cups For The Empire is a set of porcelain coffee mugs and espresso cups with a Stormtrooper’s helmet in mind. The horizontal black stripe and the cups’ curves mimics those found on the trooper’s head.
The best part, is that at the bottom of each piece of drinkware, is an Imperial logo. Imperialism… good to the last drop.

Israel ceramic artist Ronit Baranga is all about getting the awkward dinner conversation going, and has created The Feast.
The series of ceramic tableware features protruding mouths and fingers, that look as though your dinner might bite or grab you back.
The Feast was most recently part of exhibitions at Bet-Binyamini Contemporary Ceramics Center in Tel-Aviv.
We’ve seen skillets and cutting boards in the shape of every US State. Now, you can show your patriotism at the table with The Fifty United Plates. Brought to us by ceramic artists Ryan and Kaitlyn Lawless of Corbé company, the project is currently in a Kickstarter phase that has already reached their target.
So expect to see the state plates available soon. You can start making Oregon-shaped pies and California casseroles. Get Rhode Island if you need to hold a few grains of rice or a small blueberry.
