Synex, A Single-Serve Home System For Dispensing Craft Beer

Synek1

The enormous growth of the American craft beer industry is nothing short of extraordinary. But, as we all know, beer drinkers and Americans are all about convenience. Coffee drinkers have their lives made easier by Keurig, and even tortilla-maker’s get some love. Now, it’s the beer lover’s turn.

Synex is a system designed for the home, that will dispense the beer of your choice at the pull of a tap. No longer will we have to drive all the way to the liquor store and buy a whole six-pack or 750ml, only to see its quality diminish if it sits around too long.

The Synex, via vacuum-sealed cartridges, deliver the fresh beer of your choice, one beer at a time. The package-o-beer will keep a gallon of beer fresh for up to 30 days — significantly longer than any bottling, including that enormous growler taking up space in the fridge. The Synex is currently in Kickstarter phase.

The Greatest Tiered Human Organ Cake That You’ll See Today

Annabel de Vetten of Conjurer’s Kitchen makes beautiful cakes. Not pretty flower and ribbon-laden cakes — but rather skull, blood, and skin cakes.

One of her latest creations provides perfect insight into her style, with a tiered human organ cake. From one side, the cake appears innocent enough, although already a bit macabre, covered with black fondant and gold lacework.

It’s not until we check out the other side, that we get a glimpse into Conjurer’s Kitchen’s specialty. The yummy layers consist of human innards — including a heart, healthy set of lungs, and top brain tier.

Behold, The Rice Krispies Treat Burger

rice-krispie-treat-burger

As we continue to explore new ways of sandwiching a burger, while encouraging adult onset diabetes, stuff like the Rice Krispies Treat Burger will keep happening.

Brought to us by The Vulgar Chef — one of these culinary monstrosities could be yours with little more than a burger patty, bacon, peanut butter, and a cereal box recipe. Somewhere, Snap, Crackle and Pop weep.

Bottled Food Sculptures Are Intriguing, Disgusting

food600_03

There’s a reason why some foods are packaged in opaque cans and boxes. Artist Tom Davie was out to prove this with Bottled Food — a project that rethinks food packaging by placing the product in transparent bottles.

The result is what some might refer to as “too much information,” causing us to actually think about what really lurks behind that aluminum can or cardboard box, before we pluck it from the supermarket shelf.

At least there’s a straw included, just in case we’d like our SpaghettiOs right from the bottle.

Dad Creates Letters Out Of Food To Help Teach His Daughter The Alphabet

2

To help teach his daughter Zoë the alphabet in the funnest and yummiest way possible, artist Tommy Perez created AtoZoë.

The project is a series of letters that Perez designs and creates out of food. The goal… To teach Zoë her ABCs and get her a snack in the process. Well done, dad.

Check out Perez’s work and more of this project over at his Instagram.
