Heinz Ketchup Goes Green… Again?

February 25, 2011 by Chris Durso Leave a Comment

Heinz, in an effort to meet its environmental objectives, will start using the eco-friendly PlantBottle. The packaging technology borrowed from Coca-Cola will hopefully help Heinz reduce its emissions and energy usage 20% by the year 2015.

Although any environmental efforts by big business such as Heinz should be applauded — when I heard that Heinz was ‘going green’, it was a bit disappointing that it was in the nonliteral sense.

Look for the PlantBottle and quirky label to start hitting shelves this June.
