3D Food Printer

January 3, 2011 by Chris Durso

Who said print was dead? Everyone in advertising and publishing you say? Well, perhaps we’ll soon wish it was true, because within the food industry it’s receiving an unnecessary renaissance with the 3D Food Printer.

Scientists at Cornell University, along with chefs David Arnold and Nils Noren of FCI, are developing technology that will print “chocolates, cookies, and even domes of turkey meat” using cartridges of edible ‘ink’. By this time next year, the only thing standing between you and dinner will be Command+P. Sounds horrifying.
